Your data, in plain words.
Updated November 5, 2026. This translation is for reference; the Spanish version prevails.
In short: the data you leave in the contact form or the booking calendar is received by me, Andrea Montes, only to reply to you and schedule the meeting. It's stored in Google, deleted after 24 months if we don't work together, and you can ask to see, correct or delete it by writing to [email protected].
Who receives your data
The data you leave on this site is received by Andrea Montes, an individual based in Santiago, Chile. Maldito Caos is the name under which I provide data consulting services; it is not yet an incorporated company, so I am the person responsible for your data.
Contact for anything related to your data: [email protected], with the subject “Personal data”.
What data I ask for and why
- Contact form: name, email, company (optional) and your message. I use them to reply to you.
- Assessment booking: name, email, the topic you want to sort out and the day and time you pick. I use them to book the meeting, send you the invite with the Google Meet link and the option to cancel.
I use your data only for that. I don't sell it, share it or use it to send you advertising. If I ever wanted to write to you for another purpose, I'd ask your permission first.
In the free-text field, describe your business problem without including customer or employee data.
Why I can process them
Because you give them to me when you write or book, so I can reply or attend to you before a possible project. Without that data I can't answer you or send you the meeting invite.
Where they're stored and who else sees them
It's stored in my Google Workspace account: Google Sheets (messages and bookings log), Google Calendar (the meeting event) and Gmail (confirmation emails). Only I have access.
Google acts as a provider and may store the information on servers outside Chile, mainly in the United States. That is an international data transfer, made under the data protection terms Google offers its Workspace customers.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, also in the United States, which technically logs visits like any web server.
How long I keep them
If we don't work together, I delete your data 24 months after our last contact, including the meeting event in my calendar. Deletion runs automatically once a month.
If we start a project, your data becomes part of the business relationship and is kept for as long as it lasts, plus any period required by law, such as tax law.
Your rights
You can ask me at any time for:
- Access: to know what data of yours I have.
- Rectification: to correct it if it's wrong.
- Erasure: to delete it.
- Objection: to stop using it.
- Portability: to receive it in a file to take elsewhere.
- Restriction: to freeze it while a request is resolved.
Write to me at [email protected] with the subject “Personal data” and tell me what you need. I'll reply within 30 calendar days. If you're not satisfied with my answer, you can contact Chile's Personal Data Protection Agency.
What happens when you visit the site
This site uses no tracking cookies, advertising or analytics tools. The only visit count is a total number, with no data about who visits.
To display fonts and some animations, your browser downloads files from Adobe Fonts, Google Fonts and cdnjs (Cloudflare). Those providers receive your IP address, as happens with any file downloaded from the internet.
Security
Forms travel encrypted (HTTPS) and data stays in accounts only I can access. Forms are protected against automated submissions.
Changes to this policy
If I change anything important, I'll update it here with the new date. The current version is always the one on this page.
