Not all AI discomfort makes you grow
A lot of people find technology uncomfortable. The avalanche of AIs that keeps coming out can be overwhelming at times — even for those of us who love it.
And everyone tells you the same thing: get out of your comfort zone, push through the discomfort, that's where growth happens.
But nobody tells you that not all discomfort builds something.
There's the kind that drains you — jumping from tool to tool, feeling like you're always behind, piling up open tabs you'll never read. And not all of them are worth it — there's a lot of junk tooling dressed up as innovation.
Not to mention that every week there's a new religion: everyone goes GPT, then everyone goes Gemini, now everyone's stampeding to Claude, to Manus, to OpenClaw. And in the middle of all that, hundreds of influencers yelling "X is dead!" "Y is dead!" "Z is dead!" Spoiler: none of them died. They just ran out of material and need to sell you a course.
And then there's the discomfort that makes you grow — the kind that forces you to think differently, to break something to understand how it works, to keep trying until you find the combination that actually works for you.
In this avalanche, mixing them up is the most expensive mistake. Most people are so busy with the first kind that they think they're learning.
