The algorithmic excuse: AI didn't invent the chaos, it just put it on display

Tomorrow I'm kicking off a new series:
“The Algorithmic Excuse.”
Because for months now I've been noticing something pretty curious.
Companies packed with dashboards.
Predictive models, KPIs everywhere.
Chatbots. Automations.
“AI strategy.” “AI first.” “Data driven.”
And at the same time...
Half of them are still making decisions out of ego, fear, or pure gut feeling dressed up as experience
So when something goes wrong:
“the AI failed.”
And yes, sometimes that happens.
But plenty of other times, the algorithm just learned from the chaos that was already inside.
Badly entered data.
Half-patched processes.
Departments that don't even talk to each other.
People hiding problems so they don't look bad.
KPIs built just to make the PowerPoint look nice.
AI didn't invent any of that.
It just made it more obvious.
So this series isn't going to be about magic prompts or shiny new tools.
It's going to be about something much more human:
the contradictions AI is exposing.
And well... some of them are pretty fun to watch from the outside (if it were up to me, I'd fix them all)
